Our Volunteer Program

 

Our volunteers are the heart and soul of Special Reach. The support we receive from our dedicated volunteers is vital to the success of our mission, and we truly could not do it without you.

Ways to Volunteer:

• Administrative Support – Lend a hand at our office anytime between 10 AM and 3 PM.

• Special Events – Assist with organizing and hosting our gala and other special events.

• Program Assistance – Volunteer at our Party Nights, Day Programs, and Summer Programs, where you can directly engage with the children we serve.

• Fundraising – Support our fundraising initiatives and help us expand our ability to serve more children.

• Advocacy – Help spread the word about Special Reach and our mission to increase awareness and involvement in our community.

How to volunteer 

We are grateful for the support of our volunteers and ask that all volunteers sign up for opportunities in advance by completing the appropriate application form below.

​

Volunteer Requirements:

• Teen Volunteers (15 years and older): Please complete the Teen Volunteer Application and Teacher Recommendation form below.

• Volunteers (14 years and younger): Must volunteer alongside an adult (21 years or older) and complete the Teen Volunteer Application and Teacher Recommendation form below. 

• Adult Volunteers (19 years and older): Complete the Adult Volunteer Application below and pass a background check.

• Volunteers Working Directly with Children: All volunteers who will be working directly with children are required to complete a training session prior to volunteering. This training will count toward your volunteer hours.

• Returning Volunteers: Kindly fill out the Volunteer Sign Up form to let us know your availability.

• Group Volunteers: Please email us at info@specialreach.org or call (210) 788-0010 for assistance in organizing group volunteer opportunities.
