Our Volunteer Program
Our volunteers are an essential part of our organization. We have a great staff, but Special Reach would not be where it is today without the help of volunteers to help carry out our mission. We are always looking for additional help and support to assist our organization in different areas such as: office work, events and programs, fundraising, and spread the word about Special Reach. Volunteers are required to sign up for volunteer opportunities ahead of time. If you would like to help us please select the most appropriate application form to get the process started. Your time and talent make a big impact in the lives of the children we serve. If you are a returning volunteer, please complete the volunteer sign up form to let us know your availability.

Participant Application
Special Reach Inc. conducts programs that are geared for a specific population of children with special needs. Consequently, applicants must meet certain criteria for each program in order to be eligible to participate in the program. Applicants must submit a completed application form along with related documents prior to participating in any program. All applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their application.
Children who have exhibited or currently exhibit the following behaviors will not be
eligible for admittance into this Special Reach program.
• Physical harm to self or others
• Physical aggression
• Sexual misconduct
• Elopement
• Threats
Scholarship Program
Scholarships will cover 50% of the Program fee.
Special Reach will select the scholarship recipients, based on the following criteria:
• The suitability of the participant for the program, based on the participant’s age, disability, and goals
• Financial need

Special Reach is a nonprofit organization that is committed to making a measurable difference in lives of children with special needs and their families. Thanks to the support of our very generous community, Special Reach has grown from having 5 children attend our programs in 2011, to over 800 children in attendance in 2018.
